5 Things You Need For A Vegan Charcuterie Board
It’s football season. Although I’m not a huge fan of football, when I worked in a bar every Saturday people would pile in to watch a football game over a craft beer and charcuterie board. It always seemed like a cozy way to spend a Saturday. Unfortunately, that charcuterie board that I served at least 20 times each Saturday was not vegan, but that doesn’t mean you have to miss out. These five items will help you have the best vegan charcuterie board ever!

Vegan Charcuterie Must-Have
Miyoko’s Vegan Cheese Wheel
Vegan Cheese has come a long way. Back in the day, there were few vegan cheese options on the market and those that were on the market were mediocre at best. Now there are so many delicious options for your various “cheese” needs. One of my favorites for when I’m feeling fancy and want to eat “cheese” with cracker are Miyokos Vegan Cheese Wheels. The texture is spot on. There is a flavor for palet. My favorite is the sundried tomato flavor.

Some Type of Dip or Hummus
A must-have is a type of vegan dip or hummus for a plant-based charcuterie board. Most variations of hummus are plant-based by nature and need no introduction. There are so many different types of vegan dips on the market now. Kite Hill has various kinds of dips to try. I really like the French Onion and Spinach and Artichoke Dip, but the Queso, Tzatziki, or Ranch are also delicious options. Target also has vegan dips as well under their Good and Gather brand.

Various Types of Crackers
You can’t have “cheese” without crackers. Luckily most crackers are vegan. While the most common crackers for charcuterie are crostinis, artisan crackers, or water crackers, you can add any of your favorite vegan crackers.

Veggies for dipping
What’s a plant-based charcuterie board without some well….plants? While it may not be the main part of the board, you can’t go wrong without some veggies to dip into your hummus/dip. Although the most popular options would be celery, carrot sticks, or snap peas, some other great options are cauliflower, broccoli, or radishes.
Vegan Charcuterie Must-Have
Fig Preserves
A Charcuterie classic. Even though you’ve probably seen this on other Charcuterie boards, you may not consider this a must-have. If you are eating a sharp vegan “cheese”, fig preserves will be a really great contrast to those sharp flavors. This is also a nice addition of sweet flavor to really round out your charcuterie board.
