Certifications You Can Add to Your Resume (For Free)

Since the beginning of the year, I have been working hard at taking my career to the next level. One of the ways I have done that is by completing more certifications. It’s not only been a great way to spruce up my resume, but I’ve learned so many new skills that will make me a better marketer. Here are four certifications you can complete for free!

Free Certification 1: Google Analytics

Google Analytics is the holy grail of business certifications. When I’m applying to marketing jobs this is the one certification I see listed as a preferred or required skill. Other than Meta Blueprint, this is the one that I would say is the most time-consuming. It’s a lot of videos and a lot of studying, but it’s so worth it. I suggest doing this over your summer vacation or during a time that work or class is less chaotic. There are also a ton of Quizlet flashcards to help you study.

Free Certification 2: Google Ads

This is the second most requested certification that I find. It’s less overwhelming than the Google Analytics certification. Instead of one large certification, it is six small certifications. So it’s easy to get one or two done in an afternoon.

Free Certification 3: Hubspot

This isn’t just one certification. Hubspot has a ton to choose from, and they’re all free. Just make a free Hubspot account. I suggest starting with either the Inbound Marketing certification or the Content Creator certification. There are so many to choose from and they are all incredible.

Free Certification 4: Meta Blue Print

While the test officially costs $50 dollars, the course and practice tests are free. I have to admit I haven’t started this one yet, because it’s a big commitment. This is another one you will want to start when you have extra time to spare. While it’s a big commitment, Meta Blueprint holds a lot of weight in the business world.
