It’s spooky season. I love Halloween and I love podcasts so it’s no surprise that I love a good scary podcast. While I listen to True Crime and similar podcasts year-round, I find myself seeking out more scary podcasts as it gets closer to October. These are the Scary Podcasts I’m listening to this October. Let’s Not Meet is oddly soothing, and is the perfect listen for a cozy night inside by the fire. I even like to listen to it before I go to sleep.

Creepy takes you through some of the scariest creepypastas (internet legends), and other urban legends. This is a great podcast for listeners who love urban legends. The storytelling is unmatched and engaging, helping you become more involved in the story or urban legend being told. I highly recommend this podcast for a spooky drive to a haunted house.

This is truly a uniquely entertaining podcast. In this podcast, Andrew Tate (again not that one) takes stories from the golden age of radio and remasters them for podcast form. The audio in these stories is unique to the time of radio resulting in a truly spooky atmosphere. This podcast will scare you as well as entertain you for hours.

Not unlike, similar scary story podcasts, Scare You to Sleep takes you through different scary stories. While the concept of scary stories before bed isn’t new, Scare You to Sleep is truly unique. It has something for everyone from fictional stories to true crime. The host and the background music work wonderfully together consequently resulting in a truly scary listening experience.

The Deck is hosted by Ashley Flowers from Crime Junkies so you know that it’s going to be good content. Flowers takes you through a new case of missing or murdered individuals each week. Each case is or was at one point featured on playing cards that are given to prisoners to help solve those cases. It’s truly unlike other True Crime Podcasts and Flowers advocates for these victims and their families.

Northern Nightmare is a scary podcast about true crime stories in Alaska. Scary Podcasts

Northern Nightmares is a podcast I’ve recently found and added to my queue during their three-part Israel Keyes series. This Podcast is hosted by a mother and daughter in Alaska and features true crime stories from the same state. I don’t know why, but there’s something about Alaska and the vast wilderness that both scares and intrigues me(not to mention it’s one of the most dangerous states to be in as a woman).
