Spring 2021 Fashion Trends that are Easy to Wear
Spring 2021 is upon us! A new season means new fashions. Spring is especially fun because we start to put away our bulky coats, and gray sweaters for pastels and outfits with light flowy fabrics. Although many of us are still staying home and staying safe, that doesn’t mean we aren’t still enjoying the joys of putting on a great outfit. And I don’t believe it is a coincidence that this season’s trends are fun and playful. Here are the 7 fashion trends to try in Spring 2021!
Wide-Leg Pants
From Old Navy
Wide-leg trousers are everywhere in fashion editorials right now. Although I personally am not a huge fan of a super wide-leg trouser, I do enjoy a more subtle approach like the pants above. This trend is fun to rock with a tucked-in blouse and midi boots.
Fun Patterns
Spring is the perfect season for patterns. We start to get away from the gray mundane end of winter while starting to see the earth come back to life. Big floral (think 80s aesthetic) is especially popular this year, but we’ll also be seeing a lot of brightly colored stripes, light patterns using watercolors, checkers, and screen prints. This trend isn’t particularly difficult to follow. Just be mindful when pairing a pattern to avoid your outfit being too busy.
Cut Outs
Out of all the fashion trends in Spring 2021, this one is the least surprising. Cutouts will not be going anywhere this spring. This trend will likely stick around for a few more years. Although we have been wearing this trend for a while, one way to corporate this trend in Spring 2021 is by wearing pastel sweaters or white dresses with cutouts (or even jeans with cutouts if you’re feeling especially brave).
Sheer
Spring is the perfect season to embrace sheer. While sheer is often synonymous with see-through, you can opt for more subtle options by strategically layering over a solid. Try a sheer top under a cropped cami with high-waisted pants/trousers or a sheer dress over a solid bodysuit.
White
Unsurprisingly white will be popular this spring as it often is during the warmer months. While they say you’re not supposed to wear white before Memorial Day, it’s 2021 and we live by our own rules. Try LWD or a white blouse. Additionally, this is also an easy trend to include in your business casual wardrobe. Try wearing a white button-down shirt with a pastel-colored suit.
Big Sleeves
Balloon sleeves and puffy shoulders are also dominating this Spring. This is a fun trend to incorporate into your wardrobe. You can go REALLY big with huge puffy sleeves or a bit more subtle. Additionally this an easy trend to incorporate into your work wardrobe with many professional fashions featuring a subtle balloons sleeve.
Tie Dye
This should come as no surprise to you as Tie Dye has been HUGE for the past year, but with a modern/sophisticated twist. This isn’t your 70’s Tie Dyed shirt you made at summer camp. Expect to see lots of Tie Dye with watercolors and pastels this spring. I have especially fallen in love with this trend this year. I particularly like this trend paired with the athleisure style. For example, a pair of tie-dyed leggings or a cute tie-dyed crewneck or sweatpants like pictured above.
