One of the habits I’ve adopted in the last year is cooking at home more. I’m a very busy person and there have been many times in my life when I haven’t had a day off in weeks. When you’re busy and getting home at weird hours it can be extremely tempting to order door dash or hit the drive-thru on the way home. But that gets expensive and unhealthy after a while. These 6 gadgets have made cooking at home super easy and you can have a yummy delicious homecooked meal in no time.

Instant Pot
Being super busy the kitchen gadget I use the most would have to be my instant pot. This is the kitchen gadget that I could not live without. Nothing is better than coming home after a long day and throwing a quick and simple recipe in the instant pot. I can make rice in 7 minutes, lasagna in 12 minutes, and even curries in 12 minutes. If you use being too busy as your common excuse for eating out, the instant pot is your kitchen gadget!
Our Place Cast Iron Skillet
This Cast Iron Skillet is the heirloom quality version of the cult-favorite always pan. I have the original Always Pan too and while I love it, it’s not as non-stick as I would have liked. The Cast Iron version fixes all of that. I use this pan every day for everything. It’s also so beautiful that I leave it on my stove as part of the decor. I obviously have mine in Pink! Vegetable Slicer
One of my least favorite parts of cooking is chopping vegetables. As a vegan, I eat a lot of produce and am often spending more time chopping than actually cooking. I have this exact vegetable slicer and it cuts down on so much time. This vegetable slicer will grate, slice, chop and more so you’ll get a ton of use out of this. I use this a lot when I am prepping meals to throw in the freezer and I get done in no time.
Ninja HB152 Foodi Heat-iQ Blender, 64 oz, Black
When you start cooking your own meals you come across a lot of recipes that require you to make your own sauces or dressings. Since this blender heats up you can make and cook sauces right in the blender. But you can also make smoothies or cocktails. The Auto-Iq plus heat has 12 intelligent programs that use automated patterns of pulsing and pausing with precision temperature control to deliver incredible blending and cooking possibilities at the touch of a button. This blender is amazing! The best part? It cleans itself.
Cuisinart Convection Toaster Oven with Air-Fryer
What did we do before air fryers? This is probably my second most used kitchen gadget. This toaster oven/air fryer combo is perfect for those of us with a tiny kitchen. It can do three things. I use it for toast in the morning. I use the oven function to bake pretty much everything that is small enough to fit in there. But the real reason I bought this was because of the air fryer. I’m sure you already know all the benefits of an air fryer. I used to use mine primarily to heat up convenience foods (think black bean burgers and Tator Tots), but now I primarily use it to make things like cauliflower wings or to heat up leftovers.
Crockpot Electric Lunch Box
Crockpot’s Electric Lunchbox is amazing for work lunches. It heats everything up so much more evenly than in the microwave. Leftovers get heated up like they’re coming fresh out of the oven or off the stove. I typically put my leftovers in the removable insert and then grab them the next morning on my way to work. This is a must-have if you’re trying to avoid buying lunch during your work day.
